Seismic Management Information System (Scientific Version)

　　SeisMIS (Seismic Management Information System) is a comprehensive seismic information service system. The system can provide comprehensive seismic data for a selected earthquake. Viewing and downloading various kinds of data about a particular earthquake, easily and visually, from a general page (holographic seismic page), a user can research the earthquake comprehensively. The system has such functions as data collection, system administration, information querying and information customization, and provides tools for analyzing volumes of seismic data.

　　SeisMis (Scientific Version) has already passed and obtain the authentication of the Seismic Bureau Analysis Forecast Center of China in October 2003.
　　

System Function

　　System support four massive functions: Influxion of data, Aadministration of system, Administration of networks, Constituting of information.

　　1. Data Collection:

　　　　a). Data format transfer.

　　　　Unify different system generate results by system tools.

　　　　b). Data import.

　　　　Imprts data from existing database by tools of system provide.

　　　　c). Interactive data input.

　　　　For some impossible state that system provides manual input via HTML Pages, for example, a seism in 101 year we will impossible got the seism data.

　　2. System Aadministration:

　　　　a). User management.

　　　　Scalar users management, is stronger for security.

　　　　b). Maintenance of database.

　　　　c). Data management.

　　　　Append, delete and edit data, and that operation can finish by browser.

　　3. Information Querying:

　　　　a). Catch information.

　　　　User can query, list and download requisite data in browser with these functions.

　　　　b). Application of GIS in system.

　　　　For example, painting epicenter and so on.

　　4. Information Customiztion:

　　　　a). Data customiztion.

　　　　b). Subject customization.

　　　　c). Application customization.
